When you sell your source code on PieceX, you become one of two parties in legal contract. The other party in that scenario is the buyer of your source code project. To guarantee safety and security for your project, we have added the feature to include an NDA Agreement into your project.
What is an NDA Agreement?
An NDA Agreement provides a legal framework for protecting confidential information and promoting trust between parties involved in the transaction.
Hence, at PieceX, we strive to provide a platform that supports secure transactions and promotes the protection of intellectual property. The NDA option with electronic signature further enhances confidentiality and facilitates trustworthy interactions between buyers and sellers.
How does the NDA option work on PieceX?
The NDA option on PieceX allows sellers to include a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) that utilizes electronic signatures. An electronic signature refers to an electronic sign that is attached to a contract. It is executed by a person with the intent to sign the record.
By leveraging electronic signatures, PieceX enables sellers to create NDAs that can be digitally signed by buyers. These electronic signatures have been widely used for eSigning various documents and thus they hold legal validity in most business and personal transactions in almost every country worldwide.
With that said, the process for it is simple and it goes as follows:-
- Prepare your NDA: Create your Non-disclosure Agreement using your preferred method, ensuring it meets your specific requirements.
- Convert to PDF: Convert the NDA document to PDF format for easy sharing and validation.
- Upload the NDA: Log into your PieceX account and either edit your existing product or create a new product. You can upload the PDF file containing your desired NDA in the “Documentation & Code” section.
What Should The NDA Document Include?

How To Add an NDA Document To Your Project
After getting the document completely ready, and while you are Listing Your Project for sale on PieceX, you will be given a multitude of options as you go. In the Documentation & Code Section where you upload your code and user guide, you are now also allowed to upload an NDA as shown above.
To utilize the NDA option on PieceX, sellers can upload a PDF file containing their desired NDA document when uploading or editing a source code product at the “Documentation & Code” section.
Upon reviewing the terms and conditions of the NDA, buyers can electronically sign the document using the provided electronic signature functionality. These electronic signatures are legally binding in most business and personal transactions, providing assurance that the NDA is enforceable.
